Unknown militants have released a photographer of the Chinese news agency Xinhua in the Libyan capital Tripoli.

Mohamedal Naeli was released after paying a huge ransom to his kidnappers, a source close to his family said on Friday, without giving more details on the sum paid.

Naeli safely arrived at his family's house after a month of abduction.
