A military helicopter crashed over the Cairo-Ismailia road earlier Saturday.

Military spokesman Mohamed Samir said the crash resulted from a sudden technical malfunction.

The plane crew were variously injured and moved to hospital, Samir added.

The helicopter was conducting a surveillance operation when a sudden technical malfunction occurred, he noted.
