Defense Minister Sedky Sobhy asserted on Monday that the military might is one of the national security foundations.
"It's the main pillar to secure the Egyptian state against all foreign and internal threats," Sobhy told military commanders during an event.
He stressed the army's commitment to protect the homeland.
