Civil Aviation Minister Hosam Kamal greeted ministry employees on the 86th Civil Aviation Day.
The ministry celebrates its day on January 26 which marks the launch of the first Egyptian flight in 1930.
A year later, the government resumed construction of Almaza airport that was officially opened in June 1932.
In his message to employees, the minister urged them to take inspiration from the achievements of the aviation authority.
He also underlined the necessity of developing the civil aviation sector in Egypt.
