Minister of State for Population Hala Youssef stressed the importance of the outcome of the 16th meeting of the heads of the national councils of populations in the Arab world.
In statements on the sidelines of the meeting, the minister said the get-together tackled the population problem during the past 20 years and the future vision of cooperation among the Arab states.
She pointed out to cooperation with the United Nations Population Fund and organizations concerned with population problems.
Asked if the recently-concluded Sharm el Sheikh economic conference will have positive impacts on Egypt's population, she said all agreements signed during the conference will back the economy of Egypt and benefit its people.
The meeting is organized by the Arab League in cooperation United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia and the United Nations Population Fund.
