Deputy governor of Cairo for west, central and north Cairo Ayman Abdel Tawwab has said Mugammaa El Tahrir (Tahrir compound) will be fully evacuated on June 30, 2017.

Speaking at the Middle East News Agency Sunday, he said the decision to evacuate the Tahrir-based Mugammaa aimed at reducing the number of government offices downtown Cairo.

He said no decision has been taken on making use of the Mugammaa after transferring its employees.
