Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, today attended the First Gulf Endurance Cup at Bahrain International Endurance Village.
H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, also watched the race.
Sheikh Hamad bin Dalmouk Al Maktoum was crowned champion of the 120 km race.
The First Gulf Endurance Cup was organised under the umbrella of the GCC with the aim of encouraging and developing the GCC joint sports movement.
Present also were H.H. Sheikh Nasser bin Hammad al Khalifa, President of Supreme Council for Youth and Sports and Chairman of Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC), Shaikh Faisal bin Rashid Al Khalifa, President of the Bahrain Royal Equestrian and Endurance Federation (BREEF), Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, GCC Secretary-General, Khalifa Saeed Sulaiman, Director-General of Dubai's Protocol Department, Saeed Humaid Al Tayer, Chairman of Meydan and a number of officials from both, the UAE and Bahrain.
