Monday, July 28, will be the first day of Eidual Fitr, which marks the end of the holy fasting month of Ramadan, according to astronomical calculations, said head of the National Research Institute of Astronomy Hatem Ouda on Sunday.
"The new crescent will be born 42 minutes before the dawn of Sunday and will be visible for only seen minutes which will not be sufficient to see it," he added.
The first day of Shawwal and consequently the first day of Eidual Fitr will fall on Monday, July 28, he added.
This means that Ramadan this year will be 29 days, he added.
