More police security forces were deployed near Rabaa Square in Cairo's eastern district of Nasr City as Egypt is marking the January 25 Revolution that toppled president Hosni Mubarak.
MENA's reporter said more than 13 armored vehicles were stationed on roads leading to the square.
Police are patrolling Nasr City as part of a tight security plan to secure the anniversary.
