More security forces were deployed in Suez to secure the celebrations on the occasion of the inauguration of the new Suez Canal project.
The forces are deployed to secure the southern entrance of the Suez Canal, vital facilities, roads and ports.
In statements on Sunday, a security source said forces have also combed the area ahead of the inauguration ceremony.
Meanwhile, Head of Suez Security Directorate Gamal Abdel Bary said security patrols are securing the governorate's streets 24/7.
He also pointed out that the police and army are coordinating to secure the governorate.
Egypt will inaugurate the New Suez Canal on August 6 in the presence of presidents, kings and high-level delegations from various countries.
