HM King Mohammed VI gave his instructions to fly flags half-mast in all governmental buildings, administrations, public squares, as well in all Moroccan embassies and consulates for three days nationwide for three days and to perform the prayers of the absent this Friday in all Moroccan mosques, as a sign of mourning following the passing away of King Abdallah of Saudi Arabia, says a release of the Royal office.
"HM King Mohammed -may God assist him- VI has learned with deep sadness and great affliction the sad news of the passing away of the Custodian of the two holy mosques, HM King Abdallah Ibn Abdelaziz Al Saoud, may God rest his soul in peace", the release said.
"In these painful circumstances, His Majesty the King, may God assist him, has given his high instructions that the national flag be flown at half-mast for three days in governmental building, administrations and public squares, as well as in the Kingdom's embassies and consulates abroad", the source went on.
The release also mourns the "cruel loss of a brave leader and King who was linked to Morocco by sincere brotherly bonds."
