Former secretary-general of the Arab League Amr Moussa denied on Sunday claims saying that he told an Arab newspaper that he would be one of appointed members in the parliament, his media office said.

Earlier, an Arab newspaper said Moussa will be appointed as a member of the new parliament and then will run for the speaker's post.

The media office asserted that Moussa did not give such statements to the newspaper.
