Egypt's Mufti Dr Shawqi Allam has congratulated King Salman Abdel Aziz al Saud, who ascended to the Saudi throne after the death of king Abdullah bin Abdel Aziz.
In a statement Tuesday, the mufti wished king Salman success in completing development work of late king Abdullah, particularly the expansion of the Holy Mosque.
Dr Allam also praised efforts by Saudi Arabia to support Arab and Muslim affairs.
