The Arab foreign ministers on Thursday assigned Arab League Secretary-General Nabil el Araby to prepare for forming an Arab joint force.
Earlier in the day, the Arab foreign ministers approved a draft resolution submitted by Egypt to form "joint force" to protect Arab national security.
El Araby is expected to coordinate a meeting for top military commanders of the Arab countries to consider ways to implement the resolution.
