Arab League (AL) Secretary General Nabil el Araby expressed his pride that the New Suez Canal project was implemented by Egyptian laborers and fund.

The inauguration of this huge venture proves that Egypt will begin a new phase of prosperity and stability, he noted.

In statements to the first channel of the Egyptian Television on Thursday, Araby congratulated the Egyptian people and its leadership for finishing the project, adding that the country as well as the whole world will benefit from the New Suez Canal.

Completing this venture is considered an important message to the whole world that the Egyptians are able to implement the projects which they aspire to, the AL chief reiterated.
