A new director general of the Arab Administrative Development Organization (ARADO) was named on Thursday.

Saudi Arabia's Nasser ben Ali ben Jabran Kahtani was unanimously named by the Arab League members of the general assembly of the organization to fill the post from September 1 of 2015 till August 31 of 2019.

He succeeds Dr Refat Faaouri, who ended his term in office.

Besides Kahtani, three other nominees were running for the post representing Kuwait, Jordan and Palestine.
