Deputy Chairman of the Suez Canal Authority Mohamed Saqr asserted on Tuesday that the new Suez Canal project is for the Egyptian people in particular and the World in general.

He also expressed hope that the new Suez Canal would be a source of prosperity for the Egyptians.

He made the remarks during an Iftar banquet held by the Independence Current at the Beach Club of the Suez Canal Authority.
