An Egyptian NGO called on the European Parliament to respond to Egypt’s inquiries over a national missing for several months now in Italy.

In a statement, the United National Organization for Human Rights said all the circumstances around the disappearance of Adel Haikal point to the involvement of Italian security agencies.

It criticized a EP resolution on Egypt over the case of Giulio Regeni, the Italian PhD student and researcher murdered in Cairo last month, saying the resolution jumped to conclusions before Egyptian investigations in the case were completed.
