Secretary General of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) Executive Committee Yasser Abd-Rabu affirmed that no one can deny Egypt's crucial role in sponsoring any peaceful initiative that aims to end bloodshed in Gaza.
In a press conference on Monday, Abd-Rabu asserted the importance of holding an urgent meeting that gathers all Palestinian parties including PLO and Hamas and Fatah movements, adding that the best place to host the meeting is the Cairo-based Arab League.
The meeting will aim to reach consensus on calling for halting all forms of Israeli aggression on Gaza, he said, asserting the importance of providing guarantees to lift siege on Gaza that lasted for years.
Abd Rabu also condemned US statements that justified mass murder that practiced by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's government.
