A factory neighboring another that was engulfed by fire on Monday has been evacuated, said the head of a Shubra district municipality.

"The factory's evacuation was precautionary," said el-Sayyed Moussa.

The fire erupted at a factory for plastic products in Shubra, Qalyoubia, north of Cairo.

No casualties were reported.
