Giza Governor Ali Abdurrahman said on Friday that no one was injured in an attack on an electricity pole in Marriotya district earlier in the day.
Also, traffic on Marriotya road was returned to normal after being blocked for hours.
Four homemade bombs went off early Friday beneath the pole taking high voltage wires down on the road, the governor said.
Bomb disposal experts were deployed to mop up the area for more possible attacks.
