Kuwait has no intention to reopen its embassy in Damascus for the time being, a Kuwaiti Foreign Ministry's official said.
Kuwait agreed to reopen the embassy but the Syrian diplomats decided to keep it closed, the official said in statements on the sidelines of the opening of the Lebanese consulate in Kuwait.
Kuwait is keen on the stability and security of Lebanon, he said.
The official termed the recent visit of Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi to Kuwait as important and successful.
Egypt is the main cornerstone for the Arab security, he said.
