Tripoli - MENA
No security presence has been seen at the Libyan border crossing over the past years, said the terminal's Head Ibrahim Yousef on Sunday.
In press statements, Yousef said that the inaction of successive governments against army and police personnel's dereliction of duty has exacerbated the problem.
The terminal, linking Libya and Egypt, is secured by only 20 personnel, while it practically needs more than 150 trained and experienced security men, he added.
Yousef called on the government to provide the needed weapons and supplies.
