North Sinai Governor Abdel Fattah Harhour held an urgent meeting with Al Arish municipality chief, officials of a cleaning company and Al Arish chieftains to resolve the crisis caused after cleaning workers abandoned the city.

Over 150 cleaning workers of “Care Service” company had left Al Arish back to their home cities after receiving death threats.

Arish municipality chief Mohamed el Beik said several cleaning vehicles were dispatched to Arish, with the help of the civil society, to collect garbage piles from the streets.
