North Sinai Police Commander Major General el-Sayed el-Habbal inspected the city streets on Thursday night to check on the security status.

A security source said the move involved a walking tour in which Habbal talked to owners of shops as well as residents on the security developments in the city.

The security official also inspected security checkpoints in a number of Arish districts, the source added.
