Giza - MENA
Head of the Armed Forces Engineering Authority Kamel el Wazeir and Giza Governor Khaled Zakaria checked on the work flow at the Cairo-Alexandria desert highway.
The Armed Forces Engineering Authority is working hard to finalize the development works at the road so that it would be opened before summer, Wazeir said.
The governor for his part said a map of the road facilities would be ready within 24 hours.
The Cairo-Alexandria highway is the main highway that connects Egypt's largest cities, Cairo and Alexandria. It begins at Giza, at the northwest corner of Cairo's ring road, and ends at Alexandria.
