The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) condemned the atrocious mass murder of thirty Ethiopian Christians by the affiliate of the Daesh group in Libya.

OIC Secretary General Iyad Ameen Madani, expressed horror at this latest execution of innocent persons which adds to the long list of the brutalities committed by this group of criminals and outlaws. He noted that this incident has again highlighted the need to further step up international collaboration to combat and eradicate the menace and terror of Daesh.

Madani also added that the OIC is on the process of forming a group of wise persons to visit Libya to push forward for a social and political equilibrium to move Libya from the institutional vacuum of the Gaddafi era, and the violent aftermath that followed his fall to a state of national identity, shared values and transitional institutions.
