Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Iyad Ameen Madani condemned on Thursday the bloody armed attack on the Bardo National Museum in Tunisia which has claimed the lives of innocent people, including foreign tourists.
This kind of terrorist attacks, that goes against all humanitarian behaviors and all religious teachings, aims to rip apart social cohesion, hinder the establishment of political institutions and prevent people to live in peace atmosphere, Madani said in a statement.
He expressed the OIC's full solidarity with the people and government of Tunisia in countering terrorism and fighting those aiming to destabilize Tunisia's security and stability.
He offered condolences to the families of the victims and wished a speedy recovery for the injured.
