Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Secretary General Iyad Ameen Madani has strongly condemned the bus attack in Karachi, Pakistan, on Wednesday resulting in a toll of 45 dead and some other wounded people.

Madani described the act as barbaric and unjustifiable under any pretext. Madani expressed his deep condolences to the families of the victims as well as to the people and government of Pakistan.

He also called on all the components of the Pakistani society for solidarity and to unite against any attempt aiming at fueling sectarian frictions in the country.
