Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Iyad Ameen Madani strongly condemned the offensive on Al Aqsa Mosque by the Israeli forces and attacking worshipers.

He considered the aggression as an extension of the terrorist acts committed by the Israeli occupation to implement the temporal and spatial division of the holy mosque.

In a statement issued on Sunday, Madani called on the international community, especially the United Nations Security Council (UNSC), to stop the recurrent Israeli attacks and protect the Palestinian people and their sanctity.

He stressed that disregarding the Israeli crimes in Al Aqsa Mosque will spread tension and violence in the region and the whole world.
