Shihab bin Tariq al Said, an Adviser to Sultan Qaboos bin Saeed of Oman, will take part in the inauguration ceremony of the New Suez Canal on Thursday.

The adviser will be accompanied by number of Omani ministers and officials.

In a statement issued on Wednesday, the Omani Ambassador here Sheikh Khalifa bin Ali al Harthy congratulated Egypt and its people on this unique achievement.

He further expressed his confidence that this venture will participate in supporting economy and comprehensive development in Egypt.
