Palestinian Ambassador to Egypt Gamal el Shobaky praised on Tuesday President Abdel Fattah El Sisi's statements about the Palestinian issue.

During the inauguration of power projects in Assiut earlier in the day, Sisi said Egypt is ready to play a role to establish peace between the Palestinians and Israel.

Sisi pointed out that he met with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas recently and discussed with him efforts to revive peace talks to bring hope and end the frustration of the Palestinian side.

Sisi's statements reflect a deep strategic vision towards the Palestinian issue and the whole region, Shobaky said.

Shobaky added that President Sisi managed to restore Egypt's leading position at the Arab, regional and international levels.
