Prime Minister Rami Hamdallah

National and political powers called for a rally on Sunday to protest the Israeli blockade of the Gaza Strip.
During a press conference on Tuesday, the factions called on Prime Minister Rami Hamdallah and his Cabinet to visit the enclave and start its duties immediately.
The factions expressed their rejection of the proposal of UN special coordinator for the Middle East peace process Robert Serry.
Serry's plan suggests setting up a trilateral committee of Israel, the Palestinian Authority and the UN to monitor the supply of building materials to the strip to make sure that the construction materials are not diverted to build tunnels or manufacture rockets.
Member of the Palestinian Liberation Front Jamil Muzhir warned of hindering the reconstruction efforts of the war-ravaged enclave.
He added that the rally will start from Rafah in the south to Beit Hanun on the northeast edge of the Gaza Strip.
