Chairman of the Syndicate of Al Ashraf Mahmoud el Sherif met on Friday with Palestinian Minister of Awqaf and Religious Affairs Yusuf Ideis and his accompanying delegation, now visiting here.

During the meeting, Idris praised Egypt's stances in support of the Palestinian people at international forums.

He also lauded the deeply-rooted relations between the two countries.

Sherif, for his part, reiterated Egypt's support for the Palestinian people to restore their legitimate rights.

He also urged all Arab and Islamic leaders to support the Palestinian people in their struggle against the Israeli occupation.

Sherif appealed to the Palestinian people to close ranks and unite under the leadership of Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas.
