Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas sent Thursday a cable to President Abdel Fattah El Sisi greeting him on the occasion of the July 23rd Revolution anniversary, said Palestinian news agency WAFA.

In the cable, Abbas wished Egypt further progress and prosperity.

He voiced confidence in the current support of President Sisi for the Palestinian cause.

On July 23, Egypt marks the anniversary of the 1952 revolution, during which the Free Officers overthrew Egypt's 150-year-old monarchy.
