Sheikh Mohamed Jamal Abu Al Hanoud, an advisor to the Palestinian Awqaf minister, strongly criticized terrorists and their logic which defames Islam.

On the sidelines of the first world conference of Egypt's Dar Al-Ifta, Abu Al Hanoud told MENA that terrorists are ignorant extremists who are exploited by others to stabilize an incorrect image of Islam.

"Those who claim that Islam is the religion of terrorism were also ignorant who concluded their judgment based on the behavior of Islamists and away from a true understanding of Islam," he said.

He voiced belief that terrorism combat efforts should start with a cultural confrontation and an enlightenment of young men.
