Israel breaks up West Bank rallies

Three Palestinians were injured and suffered suffocation on Sunday when Israeli forces suppressed a peaceful rally in Beit Jala town in the Bethlehem Governorate of the West Bank.

The rally, organized for denouncing the destruction of farm lands there for the sake of completing the construction of the Israeli apartheid wall, was dispersed by the Israeli troops who stormed the town and fired tear gas and rubber bullets at residents during the rally.

Greek Orthodox Archbishop of Sebastia, Atallah Hanna said the Israeli destruction of farm lands in Beit Jala town is brushing aside all international charters and laws and affects the Middle East peace process.

He deplored the ongoing Israeli violations of AL Aqsa Mosque, urging the international community to take swift actions to protect the holy Islamic and Christian places in AL Quds (the occupied East Jerusalem).
