Visiting Egyptian Minister of Environment Khaled Fahmy said on Tuesday that the African stance on the UN Framework Agreement on climate change is clear.

Africa, he added, holds that the anticipated Paris agreement on climate change should observe the principle of justice regarding accumulations of greenhouse gas emissions.

Africa has floated two initiatives for acclimatization with the consequences of climate change and supporting the use of renewable energy in Africa, he added, noting that Africa is keen on shouldering its responsibility on this score but requests the transfer of funding and modern technology to enhance its capabilities for coping up with climate change.
