The House of Representatives agreed to form a special committee to probe claims that corruption had cost the country EGP 600 billion in 2015.

Parliament Speaker Ali Abdel Aal said he received a letter from the Administrative Control Authority with a report issued by a presidential committee to probe media claims that the corruption bill hit EGP 600 billion last year.

A copy of a study compiled by officials of the Accountability State Authority on the matter was also sent to the parliament.
