A local administration law on local councils elections will be reviewed by the parliament as soon as possible, Local Development Minister Ahmed Zaki said.

In press statements after the new governors were sworn in before President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, he said the meeting between Premier Sherif Ismail and the new governors was meant to underline President Sisi's directives.

Badr said Sisi has urged facilitating measures, securing more outlets for low-price commodities and rationalizing expenses.
