Patriarch of the Ethiopian Orthodox Church Abune Mathias will visit Egypt in January, said Pope Tawadros II of Alexandria and Patriarch of St. Mark Diocese.
In a weekly sermon on Wednesday, Pope Tawadros said that the visit is the first by the Ethiopian Patriarch since assuming office in March 2013.
The Ethiopian Patriarch will tour a number of monasteries and churches in Cairo and Alexandria, Pope Tawadros said.
