Peshmerga forces foiled on Wednesday an attack by Daesh terrorist group on Nawran area of Nineveh governorate in northern Iraq, a Kurdish military source said on Thursday.

Several Daesh militants were killed and injured during yesterday's clashes, the source said, asserting that no Peshmerga members were injured during the clashes.

Iraqi forces are fighting a fierce battle against Daesh terrorist elements who are controlling huge swaths of Iraq.
