Kurdish peshmerga forces fended off an attack launched by Daesh militants from five areas on Kaski District in Mosul city of Nineveh province, Kurdish sources said on Friday.
A Daesh element, who slaughtered one of Kurdish fighters in Mosul, was killed in a special military operation, the sources added.
Another Daesh fighter was injured in the operation, according to the sources.
