The Kurdish Peshmerga troops on Sunday confirmed the killing of 50 Daesh militants in clashes in northwestern Iraq.
A reliable Peshmerga source said clashes continued for an hour and half in the villages of Tel Shaer, Sultan Abdullah and Tel Al Rai, noting that the international coalition warplanes covered the attack against Daesh.
Peshmerga troops are currently checking the identity of the dead Daesh elements whose bodies are now in their possession.
