Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab, accompanied by Cairo Governor Galal Mustafa Saeed, inspected Tuesday the historical Al Moez street to follow up the work progress in a number of restoration and development projects.
The Egyptian government is working on a plan to rehabilitate Al Moez street and turn the place into a tourist attraction and an open museum, especially that it witnessed different historical periods.
Residents of the street warmly received the prime minister who thanked them for their cooperation with authorities on preserving the world's oldest street and was eager to be assured on police services in the area.
