Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab

Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab, Defense Minister Sedky Sobhy and Interior Minister Mohamed Ibrahim inspected army and police forces in North Sinai.
They listened to a review on the progress of security operations in the province in cooperation with the second and third armies and police.
They inspected forces conducting raids on hotbeds of terrorists and Takfiris in Sinai.
They hailed high morale of the troops in fulfilling their sacred duties.
The premier and the ministers observed a minute of silence to mourn the casualties of violence in Sinai.
The defense minister said "we are undergoing a fierce war to defend Egyptians and maintain Egypt and its stability against the powers of extremism and terrorism that seek to ruin Egypt and break its will and destabilize the region."
He asserted the battle is going and "we will achieve victory for our homeland, martyrs, values and human principles."
He said the army has reviewed all measures pertaining to the security strategy in Sinai under a newly-established command of the Suez Canal and counter-terrorism.
The interior minister hailed the Armed Forces and police for defending the Egyptian state.
"They are the valve of security and stability of the Egyptian state," said the minister.
The premier also lauded the efforts of the army and police in combating terror.
Top brass of the Armed Forces were present during the tour.
