Prime Minister Sherif Ismail presided over the Council of Governor's meeting to discuss a number of important files, topped by steps taken to secure strategic reserves of basic food commodities for six months, control of prices and anti-monopoly practices.

The council also reviewed reports on service and development projects carried out in the various sectors in all governorates.

It also mulled necessary steps that should be taken to solve the waste-disposal problem and develop waste collection and recycling systems.
