Prime Minister Sherif Ismail said on Thursday the government pays special attention for development projects in Sinai, asserting a road network would link the peninsula with the Nile valley.
Speaking to reporters, the prime minister said there are projects under construction in Sinai and more would be built in the future.
Separately, the premier said the government reacts to illegal practices that unreasonably lead to sudden disappearance of goods from the market.
The government has no intention to impose an official list of prices for goods in order to respect the free market rules, Ismail repeated.
A study is available to set a margin of profits for strategic commodities in cooperation with the chambers of commerce and the Federation of Egyptian Industries (FEI), the premier said.
The cabinet spares no effort to provide services and deal with a shortage of basic goods to manage the ongoing economic crisis, he added.
A strategy is also developed to make 30,000 school classes available by the end of the year and improve water and sewage services nationwide.
