Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab has said that "arrogance" is hindering the Egyptian ceasefire initiative meant to spare Palestinian blood in the Gaza Strip.
Speaking while inspecting the Lake Manzala Tuesday, Mahlab said the government is working to eliminate polluting materials before reaching the lake.
Mahlab agreed to a request by the governor of Daqahliya to purge straits along the Damietta-Port Said road that allow salt water into the lake in order to create an environmental balance needed for the development of fish wealth.
