The Palestinian National Council (PNC) stressed the importance of maintaining the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) and its role as the only internationally-recognized Palestinian organization.

In a statement on the occasion of 51st anniversary of PLO creation on Thursday, the Amman-based council called for snubbing any attempt to marginalize or belittle the role of PLO.

It called for accelerating the measures of reconciliation among all Palestinian factions.
